I didn’t like the look of them….a lot more laces, heavier looking than the Oboz I have…. They make a good shoe but I just didn’t like it so returned themI bought these hikers for a trip to Egypt and I’m so glad I did. They were breathable in hot weather, waterproof ( had to soak after camel dung incident) and keep me steady on 3,000 year old stone steps and all manner of terrain. My legs never got tired or felt all the rocks and cobblestones. Much better than running shoes or other light walking shoes I’ve worn. I have older Oboz hiking boots that’s have lasted a long time and as with those you do need to order a half size up. They are not the prettiest shoes you will ever own but they sure are the most comfortable and rugged. They will go on all my trips from now on.Not near as nice as the old ones I've purchased. The shoes are made from a synthetic 'leather' instead of the real stuff the old ones were. Also, I wouldn't exactly call the color brown. More like brown/grey?? I'll wear them but won't buy again. This shoe gives great supportTough full grain leather like a good hiking boot should have. No leaks. Soles last a couple of years of continuous use. Recommend Sno-Seal waterproofing to keep the leather new and supple. These do not leak at all, and they breathe very well. Great traction. Torsional stiffness dramatically exceeds running shoes, soles are stiff enough to prevent stone bruising when packing a moderate weight pack on rocky trails, and stiff enough to prevent instep fatigue if working on a slope all day. Usual sneaker height "hiking shoes" can't do any of that. The glue holds up. That's what kills too many shoes. These ones have great glue around the rand. My last pair wore the soles off before the rest of the boots looked old; through years of continuous use.On the small side. Can't wear them hurting my feet. Usually love obozThis is my third pair of Oboz shoes. I wanted a low-cut, waterproof shoe for a trip to Ireland in May. They fit perfect as do my other Oboz's. I have high arches and love the arch support. I have a narrow foot so I always add a thin insert to help keep them from slipping and provide a little cushion. The owner of an outdoor store told me years ago when I bought my first pair of Oboz's that they would be my favorite pair of outdoor shoes and she was correct. The color (graphite) wasn't quite what I expected - they have more of a blue "tinge" but that's ok.This looks like it would be a good shoe, but runs narrow. I don’t have wide feet and they were too narrow for me. I returned them.
