This is an 80s style flashy gold purse in vegan leather. The finish is classic, looks just like the ones from when I was a kid, and shines wonderfully under sunlight or bright lights. In mood-lighting, the finish is shiny like the sheen of a black leather jacket under sunlight, very understated and lovely but not super blingy the way a flashy gold-finish bag is under bright lights; and so, the effect is wonderfully variable under different lights. With a matte-finish or satin-sheen bag, the color doesn't really change much, nor does the visual impact, as you change lighting sources and intensities. But this bag truly is a higher-gloss finish with a crinkle-texture very popular in the late 1980s, and it changes impact as you change lighting. Under one source, it's bright gold, like in the listing photos. Under a softer source, it's shimmery and ranges from a gold-leaf finish to a gold-tone foil finish almost like tin-foil in the low-light of night-time kitchens around the world. It's beautifully varied under softer lights, flashy and golden and glammed all the way up to eleven under bright lights, feels wonderful to the touch, and has a wonderful feel when carrying, with a nice weight and a soft texture and comfortable chain-bound leather-strand straps.Overall, this is probably my favorite woven bag of the year. I collect bags, use them for a while, then donate them when I realize I won't be using them again; and I go through dozens every year, always seeking the lowest price for the most enjoyment I can get before getting bored. This is my one concession to genuine consumerism, where I seek something to lift my spirits every time I use it. Each bag is chosen to be fun and enjoyable, and I'd say that I get bored of about seventy to seventy-five percent of the bags I ever acquire, always donating those bags or giving them to family/friends. This one will never be donated or given away. I will use this until it falls apart. I can tell that already, from a single day of using this. This one's truly impressive, and I absolutely love it. I'd love it better if it were genuine leather, with a lifespan of thirty years, instead of being vegan, with a lifespan of only three to four years and a toxic-footprint when it breaks down in the garbage one day; but I still love it, even though it won't last as long as genuine leather would. This is a five-star bag for a vegan leather option, with high visual impact and a whimsical attitude that can really make an outfit shine.
